Editorial standards.

The Pulled editorial team writes about coffee shops, drinks, and the cultures around them. Our recommendations come from direct visits, public reputation, and verified user reviews from members who check in on location. We hold our work to the standards of a publication, not a directory. We do not accept payment for inclusion in our city guides, coffee shop recommendations, or “best of” lists. Editorial space is not for sale.

Coverage decisions.

Coffee shops featured in our guides are selected based on quality of drinks, distinctiveness, and contribution to local coffee culture. We feature both specialty and traditional shops, including tea houses, matcha bars, and boba spots. We do not exclude shops based on size, age, or operating model. We do exclude shops that fail to meet basic standards of consistency or member-reported experience. We update guides as scenes evolve.

Verification.

Every shop in our editorial coverage includes a verified address, location, classification, and operating status. We cross check this information against multiple sources before publishing. Member check-ins on the Pulled app confirm shops are still operating and serving the public.

Editorial independence.

Pulled does not accept gifts, free products, or hosted experiences in exchange for editorial coverage. Our editorial team operates independently of any commercial relationships Pulled holds. When a shop owner claims their listing through our business platform, that claim does not influence whether or how that shop appears in editorial guides.

Sponsored content.

If we publish sponsored content, it is clearly labeled as Sponsored at the top of the piece. Sponsored content never appears in editorial roundups, city guides, or comparison articles.

Corrections.

We correct factual errors as soon as we are aware of them. Our goal is to publish corrections within 48 hours of receiving a credible report. To report an error, email hello@pulled.coffee.
