Aloha Roastery's Lihue room sits on Kuhio Highway, a short walk from Rice Street, in the working part of town where the airport traffic eventually settles into local rhythm. Twins Cameron and Caleb Satterfield started roasting in their Beijing apartment, sold the business there, and brought the operation home to Kauai. Beans arrive green, get roasted in-shop, and pour as espresso, cold brew, and single-origin pour-overs from Mexico-Chiapas, El Salvador-Apaneca, and other rotating origins. Pastries come out of the kitchen each morning. Hours run early and tight, weekday mornings 6 to 3, which means the regulars are county workers, hotel staff before shift, and pilots between hops.
