Morning Glory occupies a 4,000-square-foot Bastile-designed room at 550 W Date in Little Italy, owned by Consortium Holdings and built to be the loudest brunch in San Diego. Pink-and-green marble floors, plush booths, a champagne vending machine, a deliberate playlist running through the room. Chef Jason McLeod's menu pulls global: Japanese souffle pancakes, Georgian khachapuri, French omelets with goat cheese. Coffee runs alongside cocktails, not behind them.
