Wild Rose Coffee sits at 1909 Southwest 6th Avenue, three blocks from Portland State on the southern edge of downtown. The cafe started as a food cart at local farmers markets and grew into two brick-and-mortar locations, of which the 6th Avenue shop is the second. The room runs a 1970s aesthetic, woody and warm, designed for sitting an hour. Pastries are baked in house. Bagel sandwiches anchor the morning.
