About The Hive
The Hive sits at 10th and Park in uptown Hoboken, a few blocks in from the waterfront. Friends Kristin Karotkin and Catherine Willhoit built the shop around a simple idea: a coffee and bake shop with a dedicated kids' play space, so parents could actually sit down for once. The coffee comes from Kobrick, a downtown Hoboken roaster, certified organic and delivered weekly. The lavender oat latte and iced vanilla chai run as house specialties. The cinnamon rolls only come out Friday through Sunday and they sell out by mid-morning. The room is spacious, parent-heavy on weekday mornings, and runs a second location now in Jersey City. Order the lavender oat latte if you came for the drink the regulars order. Order a cinny roll and a drip on a weekend if you came to see why this place has a line down Park.
